We believe that it is important for our youth to not only remain crime-free while in our care, but become involved in activities that increase empathy with their victims and to work to restore the losses of victims. They must be involved in activities that build competencies to make a positive contribution to their communities. This process is known as Balanced and Restorative Justice. StarrVista utilizes community-based groups to ensure dialogue between the juvenile justice system and victim advocates to help develop programs that balance the rights of victims with the needs of offenders. While StarrVista's priorities are consistent with the protection of public interests, we possess the ability to assess strengths and needs of the youth referred to our organization. |
